There has been talk for a while now about German online casino software developer – Merkur – being able to offer their games to players in online casinos in Europe. That vision has now been realised, thanks to a partnership between Merkur, and SkillOnNet, or more specifically, SkillOnNet powered casino domains.
The German company has already created a number of slot games, including Blazing Star, Candy Fruits, Dragon’s Treasure and Magic Mirror. There is much optimism that Merkur will be able to deliver many more titles on the back of those, though, over the coming months.
Merkur has entered the deal with SkillOnNet, as the partnership allows the casino software provider to offer their games over the platform which SkillOnNet provides. This will also allow Merkur games to appear at a number of online casinos at once.
The idea behind the move is that SkillOnNet will be able to offer their German based customers something a little closer to home to play, whilst at the same time appealing to players located in Eastern Europe, where Merkur are also something of a hit. The move isn’t thought to affect too many Western European players, where the competition is a lot tougher for Merkur, and SkillOnNet powered casinos in general.
Also launched this week are two new slot machine games. A slot based on the hit 90s television gameshow Bullseye has been released by Microgaming, whilst WMS Gaming (Williams Interactive) have also been busy setting up their Monopoly – Once Around Deluxe slot. The latter is expected to be launched by the end of the month, and has already drawn a lot of hype due to its classy graphics, original and faithful Monopoly style gameplay, and generous winnings. Whether it turns out to be a hit or not remains to be seen, though.
