Despite being loaded with big money progressive jackpot games, it isn’t very often that Vera & John Casino have paid out the big bucks to players on those slots. That has all changed this week, though, after one lucky player managed to scoop a top prize worth around £1.3m at the casino.
The Norwegian player – known only as Lars – scooped the total prize pot of £1,296,568 after playing the Hall of Gods, Norse mythology themed video slot. His win on January 19 was the first of the year for Hall of Gods, and third for Net Entertainment.
Net Entertainment have already coughed up a progressive jackpot on their Mega Fortune Dreams slot in January, and following the win on the Hall of Gods slot, another player managed to win over £2m playing Mega Fortune Dreams predecessor, the even more popular Mega Fortune slot.
Although this £1.3m prize pales in comparison to the record £17m jackpot won on Mega Fortune, it is still a massive amount of money for the 45-year-old Norwegian to enjoy. This is even more so considering that he wagered just 40p a spin to win it.
Hall of Gods features three progressive jackpots, which are won in the bonus round. The bonus is triggered by landing three hammer and shield icons on the third, fourth and fifth reels. Once the bonus begins, players can use Mjölnir (Thor’s Hammer) to smash shields and reveals cash prizes. If they match three progressive jackpot icons before they match three standard cash prizes, then they will win one of the three big prizes.
Hall of Gods is widely available video slot, and can be found in virtually all top casinos which run software by Swedish developer, Net Entertainment.
